The RNC is still several days away, and the police have already raided the St. Paul Convergence Center on Friday night, 10:30 pm, executing a search warrant by slapping people around. Hell, at least in Denver no giant puppets were smashed by police raiding buildings...
FLASH!! The situation is getting far worse than first believed, with multiple raids on buildings overnight and arrests for conspiracy. Check the Star-Tribune here and the Daily Planet. Don't let the voices of outrage be silenced!

Do you know what the Convergence Center is used for for the RNC?
Oh, it's used not by the RNC officials, but by the protesters to make puppets. Turns out the sheriff's office raided it to seize all the computers, which they did not return. Probably were looking for a vast conspiracy.
This is unbelievable! Where are we living??? I would love to see those warrants as I can't imagine anything that could possibly justify this kind of invasion of privacy. And if there is grounds in the warrants, how was that information obtained. Scary!
It's surprising to me that they are this rabid so early, they have to know and care a little about how it looks to the world to be raiding so viciously before the convention begins? No?
One would think, though there wasn't a lot of coverage of this outside of M-SP (surprise, surprise). Police everywhere feel they can take any action deemed necessary for "security", and the public will buy it. That was certainly the judge's reaction in the ACLU lawsuit against the city of Denver.
In other news, Mpls. Star-Tribune had a good video today of the Sunday Veterans for Peace civil disobedience, at www.startribune.com.
