I love that you did this Loring. You've got kind of a vague mysterious persona thing going on here (in personal terms) so it was fun to have a peek at your exuberant self.

Have you ever been to the Aegean? I have a fantasy of it being incredibly still and beautiful; a place of few pretensions. At least that's how I imagine it.

Yeah, I've been to Mykonos and Patras and Rhodes and a couple other islands, would have loved to go to more. Can't miss Ephesus on the Turkish coast, either.

Oops, I meant Patmos. Saw Patras, but that's over on the other side of Greece.

Now that's just an application created by someone with too much time on his/her hands, but it's fun.
May I say, however, that Beer is not particularly happy with your answer to No. 22, you turncoat!
(And Wirbelicious is even less happy.)

No, no, beer was Number 6, which was favorite drink [of all time], indicating its higher standing than 22, which is favorite alcoholic drink, which I interpret to mean distilled spirits. Besides, single-malt scotch tastes like flowers exploding in your mouth, and even 1554 Ale (or Wirbelicious, except maybe the Goat Scrotum Ale variety) can claim to do that!

Loring Wirbel said...

.. I mean can't claim to do that, except sometimes.

Way fun to see this. Kuchen for breakfast, mmmmmm. You so rarely show personal stuff, besides your musical taste and huffs, I love seeing this.

Ahh, the Aegean. I've been looking at maps of it quite a bit lately, as my dear blog friend Alek lives on Samos. Don, the kids and I went there way back in the late '80s for a day. Oh yes, Ephesus, and Smyrna, and Side - what a glorious part of the world, and in Turkey at least not very well known. The blue coast.

Here's Alek's picture of the Aegean today, looking toward Smyrna:

Ok I just spent the last hour creating my own flickr meme. I'll post it after Farm Day. That was soooo fun. Imagine the variables and exponentially expanding possibilities! There were so many cool photos to choose from.

I like the ones you picked.
