I turned 50 in 2007, so I'm practicing curmudgeon-like behavior by stressing, "whatever it is, I'm agin' it!" Call me anarcho-syndicalist or progressive, except I think most anarchists and progressives are as annoying as neocons. I like to point folks to way-outside-the-mainstream literature and music, while grumbling about everything else.

Beautifully said!
"Claims" and "rights" seems rather contradictory to surrender, which supposedly underlies most ideal religious/spiritual thought. From an early age I learned that it was really all about "us" and "them."
Hesychast! - Gesundheit!
Did you get an inch or two?
Nothin'! (so far). Twice in one week, telling us we'd get measurable only to see the storms leapfrog the front range. Last week, the one that bounced past us gave South Dakota four feet of snow. This one will be passing by for the next ten hours, but we haven't seen much from it so far. Having a large mountain range just to the west of a vast plains area means that all the Doppler radar in the world doesn't help, the storms just do what they feel like.
I would say that's true.
I would also say it is well said.
Barry, thank you for the visit, I love your blog.
perfectly played out, perfectly described
