Technical Difficulties, Censored Blog Items, and Apocalypse Now

I would have plenty to tell you this week about blog censorship and the power of corporations, except that the motherboard on my brand new Toshiba Satellite melted down, and the service warranty requires a three-week turnaround for repair. Suffice it to say for now that I was one of two bloggers (the other a full-time editor) whose posts for a media outlet were removed for critiquing the business plan of a company (no, not Toshiba, though they're not on my faves list). Later, I'll provide details and thrilling tales of editorial cowardice and things that go bump in the night. Right now, I'm just cranky over the Spartans getting creamed in the Final Four championships, laptops that don't play well with others, and media companies that fail to follow basic journalistic ethics. Stay tuned, understand if you don't see many posts, and do not adjust your set.

Well if your hanging with Otin - I must say hello. Basketball over yet?

Well, all important basketball ended with Michigan State's horrid defeat at the hands of NC. I guess there's something called the NBA out there, but who the heck cares?

Duke and NC are the pros, and as they cycle players thru to the NBA, they may not be in the Final Four while they rebuild the team, but they will be back again in all their professional glory. Bleh.

As painful as it was to watch that final, I felt the Spartan heart was there. Too many things were wrong, and they couldn't overcome them. I guess it didn't help that Izzo said before the game he didn't think they would win. (I didn't hear him say that, but someone told me.)

Oh, and so sorry about the computer woes! And now I'll go read your next post . . .

Ruth, yeah and Magic Johnson as commentator said at the half, "Let's face it, Tar Heels are just an overall better team." Sure, Magic, it's true, but saying it before the game is over can't be good for morale.

Seriously. And if even one thing had gone right - like free throws - the score would have been very different. And how about fouls? Fair? Nah. I mean just take one factor and it would have been a different game.

Ah well.

Oh, I'm not so sure...UConn was closely matched and exciting beginning to end. I had more of a feeling like Magic did, that NC just looked like the overall better team. Ooops, heresy!
