I turned 50 in 2007, so I'm practicing curmudgeon-like behavior by stressing, "whatever it is, I'm agin' it!" Call me anarcho-syndicalist or progressive, except I think most anarchists and progressives are as annoying as neocons. I like to point folks to way-outside-the-mainstream literature and music, while grumbling about everything else.

What? Yours too?? Call me astonished.
:D
Man I wish I was there, come to Baltimore!
Hey John, that label of Dylan Nyoukis', Chocolate Monk, just put out a CDR of Inca's husband, Lemon Bear - it's just called "Lemon." Really good, lots of sax and clarinet and found sounds. She and Lemon/Michael should tour as a duo more often, or Michael should sit in as guest woodwind artist for Jackie-O! I hear Tom Greenwood is really difficult to work with, but Jackie-O hasn't had any saxophone since Nestor Bucket left.
This is the first one of hers that I've really liked. Maybe it just takes time.
You know what they say about "acquired tastes" in particular artists - if you start liking them after being cold or lukewarm at first, it means you're slowly going as crazy as they are! I know I am.
