I turned 50 in 2007, so I'm practicing curmudgeon-like behavior by stressing, "whatever it is, I'm agin' it!" Call me anarcho-syndicalist or progressive, except I think most anarchists and progressives are as annoying as neocons. I like to point folks to way-outside-the-mainstream literature and music, while grumbling about everything else.

Odes to wonderful daughters are few and far between. I am glad to hear you brag about her! We parents need to brag about our kids in their hearing more often.
She is so lovely. Peter had a guitar pose for one of his senior pics too. I didn't know she played! And does her musical taste mirror her dad's?
These milestones are sobering and wonderful. Our years go faster as we age, and we wonder if that was another lifetime when our kids were born?
Have a blast this week as you celebrate her accomplishment. And any young person who has had hurdles to get past is privileged these days, as far as I'm concerned.
She used to like hip-hop, but now she likes indie-rock and folk. Abby has a wonderful singing voice.
Does she write music too?
Congratulations! She's on her way! Now the real worrying begins. With economy in shambles, I have to wish her the best. My eldest daughter just graduated from USF (Tampa) as well.
Thanks for stopping by, Dan, congrats on having a budget of your own now that everybody's done with college.
Ruth, Abby has tried her hand at writing one or two songs, but she mostly strums Jack Johnson and Joni and Tori etc etc songs. Or something.
With Jack Johnson, Tori and Joni before "or something" I'm guessing it's prodigious.
