Rev. Lucius Walker of Pastors for Peace

Rev. Lucius Walker, executive director of Pastors for Peace, was in Colorado Springs Feb. 17-18 for a gumbo fund-raising party and a series of talks to promote the work of his organization, which arranges peace caravans to Cuba. He was kind enough to sit down with me for a brief chat at First Congregational Church about the work of Pastors for Peace. To contact the organization for donations of money or goods, write ifco@igc.org, or call 212-926-5757.

Nice interview. I have always wondered when we would make some changes in our relationship with cuba. i guess it took fidel going away to open doors.

Are you thinking about buying a condo in cuba? cigars?

Nah, they're still too centralist for my taste, maybe Panama or Belize.

Say, an old high school friend just started raising chickens, I told her she had to visit your blog right away.

I do thank Rev. Walker and will call them. It was a very interesting interview, a pleasure to listen.

I hope this window with Cuba will stay open and we won't shut it again.

Oh and Sharon, glad to see you out and about and trolling. That must be a sign of spring.
